1. GENERAL
1.1 Ceylon Institute of English & Leadership (hereinafter referred to as the “CIOEL”) owns and operates www.cioel.com (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”). The Website is provided for your personal information, education and communication.
1.2 Access to and use of the Website is subject to the following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) and applicable laws. By accessing and using the Website, you accept and agree to be bound by, without limitation or qualification, the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. However, if you do not accept and agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, refrain from accessing the Website.

2. USER WARRANTIES
The user hereby warrants:
2.1 To use the Website in accordance with the Terms and Conditions exclusively for lawful purposes in a lawful manner;
2.2 To not transmit, or procure the sending of, any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam) via the Website;
2.3 To not knowingly transmit any data, send or upload any material that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time-bombs, keystroke loggers, spyware, adware or any other harmful programs or similar computer codes designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware including the Website;
2.4 To not collect information about users, including email addresses, without the prior consent of CIOEL.

3. TERMS OF ENROLLMENT
By clicking on the “ENROLL NOW” button you are offering to purchase the services offered by CIOEL subject to the following terms and conditions:
3.1 Fees & Payments
 By enrolling for the course of preference, the visitor becomes a student of CIOEL.
 All students must pay the tuition fees applicable to the course of study.
 The fees displayed in the Website are final and non-negotiable and includes exam fee and tuition fee.
 Payments can be made online and also via bank transfer. All online payments are processed through an authorized third party platform adhering to the Privacy Policy.
 All enrollments are final. No cash received by CIOEL shall be refunded under any circumstance.
3.2Classes
 All classes shall either be conducted on a full or part-time basis via a safe and secure third party platform.
 All classes shall be held based on a schedule offered by CIOEL. However, CIOEL reserves the right to cancel and reschedule classes based on lecturer availability, Acts of God and other reasons / circumstances that are beyond the control of CIOEL.
3.3Assessment Criteria
 Each course comprise/may comprise of essential modules known as ‘Core Modules’. In order for students to be entitled to a “Certificate of Completion”, a minimum score of above 60% must be achieved. Students who fail to gain a minimum score of 60% shall be withheld from receiving the certificate.
 The general assessment criteria set out below can be used by both students and staff to explain how work shall be assessed.

 All students are entitled to re-sit an examination or assessment one time, without
charge of additional fees. However, any requests for subsequent sittings shall be arranged by CIOEL upon an additional charge.
3.4Plagiarism, academic misconduct, and discipline
 Plagiarism is the presentation of another’s academic work without acknowledging appropriately. Cheating includes copying of another student’s work completely or partly, getting another to do the assignment completely or partly, inclusion of the name(s) of student(s) who has/have not contributed to the assignment appropriately and reporting work which the student has not carried out. These behaviors fall under the category of “academic misconduct”
 CIOEL reserves the right to terminate the contract with a student wherein he/she has committed an academic misconduct or has not followed the general discipline expected.

4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
4.1 The intellectual property rights in all software and content (including photographic images) made available through the Website remain the property of CIOEL and are protected by copyright laws of Sri Lanka.
4.2 All rights are reserved by CIOEL.

4.3 Visitors may store, print and display the content supplied solely for own personal use.
4.4 Visitors are not permitted to publish, manipulate, distribute or otherwise reproduce, in any format, any of the content or copies of the content supplied that appear on the Website nor may use any such content in connection with any business or commercial enterprise.

5. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
5.1 CIOEL shall not be liable for any communication that is either received late or not received at all by the user.
5.2 CIOEL shall not be liable for any loss arising out of the inaccuracy or incompleteness of information contained on the Website.
5.3 CIOEL shall not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free or that defects will be corrected.
5.4 CIOEL shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a service attack, virus, bug or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to the use of the Website.
5.5 CIOEL shall not be liable for any loss of material uploaded or transmitted through the Website.
5.6 CIOEL shall not be liable for any special, indirect or consequential damages (including loss of business, profits, anticipated savings, opportunity, reputation or goodwill) however caused.

6. LINKING
6.1 The Website may contain links to other websites (the “Linked Sites”), which are not operated by www.cioel.com. CIOEL has no control over the Linked Sites and shall not be responsible for any loss or damage that may arise.

7. DISCLAIMER
7.1 Nothing herein contained shall amount to the supply of legal, investment, professional or career advice. Users shall not construe any information displayed on the Website as legal, investment, career or other professional advice.

8. AMENDMENTS
8.1 CIOEL shall from time to time as necessary, modify the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy

9. PRIVACY POLICY
9.1 CIOEL shall strictly abide by the Privacy Policy in processing user personal information. By using the Website, the user agrees to such processing and warrants that all data provided is accurate.

10.GOVERNING LAW
10.1 The Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in all aspects in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka
